You have ‘Bacn’

Bacn

Bacn - a growingly popular term for email that you want but not right now; Bacn… better than Spam but not as good as sausage.

We’ve all become used to regular servings of spam. But a growing number of people seem to think there may be another cured meat clogging up our inboxes: “bacn” - “bacon” without the “o”.

Bacn is, “any email you receive that isn’t spam but isn’t exactly a personal message, either.”

You bring bacn upon yourself by subscribing to messages from mailing lists, social networks, online calendars, and news alerts that you don’t read for long periods, or perhaps ever.

The case for using the term to define this particularly type of nuisance email. But are there other “food groups” lurking in our inboxes waiting to be discovered too…
