Remove Latest Messages from Magento admin

Thankfully this can be done from the admin by logging in and locating the following menu item.

System > Configuration > Advanced > Advanced > and disable Mage_Admin Notification

It’s worth making a note of this area of the admin panel, as there are some useful elements within that will get things sorted quickly without having to hack core code.
