Charity Laptop under attack from Intel.
It could transform life for billions of children, but one man’s charitable dream of a £50 computer is under attack from Chip manufacturer.
Just as orders are due to be placed, Intel has changed its tune as it jostles for position, with others who once doubted the dream, in a market that could be worth billions.
Experts queued up to say it couldn’t be done, but they were proven wrong and on the dawn of production, all maybe lost.

Could this be the Fastest Desktop PC?
US Wizz kids at the University of Maryland have emerged from their labs with a desktop parallel computing system they say is 100 times faster than current PCs.
According to Network World, the computer uses a circuit board about the size of a license plate upon which the boffins have stuck 64 parallel processors.
Cyber attack on Pentagon
US reporters state that the Pentagon has had to close its E-mail system due to an attacker, who managed to penetrate the systems taking over 1,500 accounts offline.
US Defence Secretary Robert Gates said that a “variety of precautionary measures” were being taken. “Elements of the… unclassified email system were taken offline yesterday afternoon due to a detected penetration,” Mr Gates said.
Vista Search slows down other Engines
Mircosoft have conceded that their ‘Volish’ search tool slowed down competing programs such as Google’s Desktop. Google filed a complaint with the Justice Department and Microsoft have now agreed to make changes to Vista.
