Google removed page numbers

An interesting development of the new instant search feature from Google, see’s the omission of Page numbers from the footer of search pages. This really does show Google’s focus on the SERP (Search Engine Result Page) hierarchy.

With even more SERP real estate being taken up by Ads, keyword dominance really is marching on towards #1 spot or nothing; this is especially evident with smaller screens resolutions such as Mobile devices, where search results without scrolling only show a few possible matches.

Thankfully, Google does offer to undo this feature, by simply turning “Instant off” from along side the search button.
