The latest game from EA has turned about to be something a bit different from the usual gore fest - and really is something for everyone to enjoy, basically Spore is your own personal universe.

You can create and evolve life, establish tribes, build civilizations, sculpt worlds, and explore the cosmos. Spore is made up of five games, each corresponding to a stage of evolution: Cell, Creature, Tribe, Civilization, and Space. Each stage presents different challenges and goals.

This breathtaking and absorbing evolution simulator gives you an entire universe to tinker with. The scale is astonishing as you progress from guiding a primitive microbe to exploring the vastness of space.

Cleverly, the game populates your universe with creations designed by professionals and players around the world according to your tastes and requirements. And even if you don’t feel like being creative, there’s always something fun or interesting to choose.

Once progressed to the Tribe stage, players control creatures and build customised structures, choosing brute force or gentle persuasion to convince rival tribes to join.

Then the scale increases again to a Civilization-style strategy battle to become the dominant culture on the planet.

At this stage vehicles are introduced and the final and mostcomprehensive challenge is triggered by the creation of a spaceship so your race can leave the planet to explore the universe.
