Could this be the end to Speakers as we know it?

  Posted: January, 10 2008

In a strange twist, the British military discovered a revolutionary new method of converting ANY flat surface into a Loud Speaker. The flat surface could be anything from the screen your looking at to a Birthday card - the technology was accidentally discovered when trying to put a theory of sound deadening for military Helicopters into practice.

The technology was sold to Cambridge based NXT who’ve patented it as “Surface Sound” - Toyota have snapped up the technology and already have used it in the headlining of four of their motor vehicles.

NXT recently made a deal with greeting card giant Hallmark to use the technology in “big cards with big sound” when opened, said James Bullen of NXT.

The wow factor is when people hear it. We’re going where other people can’t put loudspeakers.
